The HUF hens are 1 year old!!
Our little flock has made such an impact on our lives I can hardly believe they have only been with us slightly more than a year. It is hard to imagine life without them now! They each have their own unique personality, they follow us around the yard and even seem to try to talk to us. I love it. And, they give us eggs! And absolutely the most gorgeous eggs you have ever seen. Yes – those are indeed the amazing color array of eggs we get from our 5 hens. Isn’t is amazing! Their eggs are wonderful to cook with as well.
We have learned some lessons when it comes to backyard chicken keeping, which I plan to share here soon. In the meantime, here are some photos of the HUF girls. More photos to come once it’s a bit less gloomy here.
